Is shown in the 1881 census as a widowed Laundress aged 56 years living with her unmarried sister, Emma Stapleton aged 44, at Marshalls Green, Bures St. Mary, Suffolk. Link to Jemima came from a photo of a headstone found in the family papers which reads "Loving memory of Jemima the wife of the late John Godden who died February 3rd 1910 aged 86 years. Rest in Peace." Clearly this needs to be verified. |
